Whilst the education system of the outside world is indeed quite effective, it does have it's serious flaws. The main apparent issues are apathy, low grades and funding problems. Our education system fixes the Outside World's education system's flaws, but maintains it's positives.
Education: Students begin their education at the age of 5, starting at Prep. The students are assigned to classes of 10, so as to avoid over-crowded classrooms and disruptions. All teachers are specially trained for 8 years before they can teach, and for the first 2 years they are given a support teacher for all periods that they teach. Classes (periods) last for one half hour each. A school day begins at 10am and ends at 4pm.
Length of Education:Students are required to go to school until the age of 16, when they reach Year 10. Students who wish to pursue a trade, or simply drop out, are allowed to do so. If they wish to study a trade, they may do so at at the Trade Centre. If the student wishes to continue through to Year 12, they are given the choice to do so. If they complete Year 12, they can continue to a University, or apply for a specific career assignment with their current education.
Further Education: VCE is available for students who complete Yr. 12, and there are Universities available for those who wish to become educated in a specialist area, such as Law and Medicine. For students who leave college at year 10, Trade Centres are avalable, which provide courses through from becoming an Electrician to Carpentry. As with Primary and Secondary schooling, all Universities and Trade Centres are government-funded and controlled. Government Funded Education systems ensure that there is never a lack of funding.

Subjects: From Prep to Year 8, English, Math, History, Fitness and Outside World are the core subjects which are taught. After Yr. 8 students can choose which subjects they would like to study for work in later life. They are no longer required to study the core subjects, but it is highly recommended. By allowing students to only choose the subjects that they are interested in or they believe that will be relevant to their future careers, this eliminates the problems revolving around lack of interest for education, and in turn the low grades which plague the current education system.
NOTE: Depending on subject selections, and the amount of years completed (Yr. 10 or Yr. 12), there will only be a certain amount of careers available. Obviously, someone who has no understanding of law can be a lawyer, just as someone with no understanding of electronics can be an electrician.
